| Energy Training and the RETScreen SoftwareOct. 17, 2006 - The RETScreen Clean Energy Project Analysis Software is experiencing a significant uptake in the energy training and educational sector. - 116 universities and colleges have now integrated RETScreen into their courses or programs: www.retscreen.net/ang/universities.php; - Many training institutions have begun to list their RETScreen related courses on the RETScreen Training Calendar (upcoming www.retscreen.net/ang/11_form1.php and past www.retscreen.net/ang/11_form1_previous.php) to facilitate access to their courses by the RETScreen user community; - Training-of-Trainers workshops originally developed with UNEP continue, such as the one with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge, MA: www.retscreen.net/ang/11_form2.php?idTraining=1284, - 18 million hits were made on the RETScreen Website over the last 12 months (www.retscreen.net), with many directed at the RETScreen e-Learning site: www.retscreen.net/ang/t_training.php; - RETScreen course slides, Website and the Combined Heat & Power (CHP) Model are now available in 21 languages that cover 2/3 of the world's population. The full suite of RETScreen Software and NASA climate data will be available in 21 languages with the upcoming release of RETScreen Version 4 (www.retscreen.net/ang/news_m.php), including new energy efficiency modules, in collaboration with the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership (REEEP) and NASA; and - 91,000 people in 216 countries are now using RETScreen, and this is growing at more than 450 new users every week.
