EU-CERT.HP - A European training and quality campaign for installers in the field of heat pump technology supported by the European Commission

The EU-CERT.HP Project was completed in December 2006. The Education Committee of the European Heat Pump Association (EHPA) is now in charge of the European training and certification system EUCERT. For the new website click here.

AFPAC launched its Quality Actions for heat pumps in France

May. 25, 2007 - On 5 April, 2007 , AFPAC (French Heat Pump Association, member of EHPA) launched its Quality Actions for heat pumps in France , in presence of an assembly of energy and heat pump stakeholders and professional journalists . After five years of preliminary work focused on improvement of structure and professionalism of the French heat pumps market, AFPAC , under the patronage of ADEME ( French governmental Energy Agency), has announced the official launch of its Quality Actions that are based on three levels :

Germany: First EUCERT heat pump installer course announced

Feb. 05, 2007 - The German heat pump association BWP has announced the first EUCERT heat pump installer course in Germany, taking place in Munich on 26 February - 3 March, 2007.

France: 2nd Train the trainers workshop

Jan. 16, 2007 - A second "train the trainers" workshop was organised by Costic (A. Jegou, J. Lenotte) and EDF (M. Coevoet, partner of EU-CERT.HP project) on November 30th and December 1st, 2006.

Energy-Saving-System: Certified heat pump installer - awarded with the Energy Globe Austria

Nov. 30, 2006 - Moreover 1.400 participants attended the show for the Austrian Energy Globe at the 24th of November. The Energy Globe is awarded to projects from all over the world which make careful and economical use of resources and employ alternative energy sources.

Nov. 22, 2006 - Life long learning is not only a general approach, in the Tyrol, it is implemented in a very active way. The energy advisors of the Tyrolean Energy utilities TIWAG, IKB, EW-Reute und Energie West took part in a further education day in the field of heat pump technology, in October 2006.

Nov. 06, 2006 - A month ago the 1st TRACE symposium (European Training and Certification - Dissemination Workshop for Renewable Energy Systems) took place in Vienna. According to the feedback the event was a success for all.

Austria's excellent heat pump installers

Oct. 19, 2006 - Individual, advanced training is essential for succeeding in today's knowledge society. Following that trend, more than 200 installers have completed the training course for "certified heat pump installers".

Jul. 18, 2006 - The Intelligent Energy - Europe programme (EIE) is supporting the development of actions dealing with energy efficiency and renewable energies. Seeking for security of energy supply, competitiveness and environmental protection, it aims at lower consumptions of the energy demand-side.

Press release May 2006

May. 29, 2006 - The EU-CERT HP. Project has now run pilot training courses in six countries - France, Italy, United Kingdom, Sweden, Italy and Slovenia with pilot courses also being prepared in Ireland. These courses have been a mixture of two types - aimed at the trainers (Train the Trainers) and for the installers. Approximately 100 trainees have now attended these courses.

EUCERT training course announced in France

May. 15, 2006 - In the framework of the EUCERT project, and in collaboration with AFPAC ( French Heat Pump Association) , the first EU Heat pump installer training course in France shall take place at COSTIC ( near Paris) 9-12 May 2006, with complementary practical part and exam on June, 26th. This 5-day training course is aimed primarily at potential installers of packaged heat pumps for the domestic and small commercial sector.

Feb. 13, 2006 - A central part of a project from Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership (REEEP) is to create an easily accessible, global database of available RE and EE courses called the Training, Education and Development (TED) database.
